“equipped with essential tools: an eye for shaping the arc of a dance as carefully as the transitions and details within it.”

Remind Us

Remind Us is a meditation on collective memory, moral consciousness, and the enduring role of artists in helping societies see more clearly. Created in dialogue with the exhibition Modern Women / Modern Vision, the work draws inspiration from generations of women artists who transformed personal experience into acts of seeing, expanding how we understand empathy, agency, and the responsibility of bearing witness.

Performed with live music alongside the dancers of MorDance, Remind Us unfolds as a quiet reflection on remembrance and connection. Surrounded by images that capture moments from both the past and present, the work considers how memory shapes identity, community, and the choices we make about the future.

At its core, Remind Us honors the artistic lineage of women who used their work to illuminate truth and deepen our shared humanity. To remember, after all, is to resist forgetting and to resist forgetting is to remain human.
