Nicolas de la Vega
Nicolas de la Vega was born in New York City and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey. He began his dance training when he was five years old at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. He went on to study at the School of American Ballet, and later at the Miami City Ballet School.
Nicolas joined the North Carolina Dance Theatre as a member of the second company in 2009. He worked with choreographers such as Mark Diamond, Dwight Rhoden, and artistic director Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux. He also performed works by George Balanchine.
In 2010, he joined the Los Angeles Ballet. His roles with the company include George Balanchine's Rubies, Western Symphony, La Valse, Agon, Phlegmatic in The Four Temperaments, and Pastorale and the Baron in La Sonnambula. He also performed as Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker, Von Rothbart and several other roles in Swan Lake, and orignal works by Sonya Tayeh and Josie Walsh.
