Jonatan Lujan, a native of Mendoza, Argentina began his training at Age 10 in Jesus Vera Arenas Dance School. During this period he was also a member of the Mendoza Folkloric Ballet. In 2006 he was the recipient of a full scholarship for the Julio Bocca`s Musical Comedy School in Buenos Aires which gave him the opportunity to train with the most prestigious ballet teachers among them, Julio Bocca, who invited him to join his company Ballet Argentino where he performed soloist roles in some of the most important Operas around the world such as Bolshoi Theater in Moscow,where he performed at the Benois de la Danse Awards, also Italy, Spain, Greece, United States, Brasil, Chile, to name a few. With the company he performed feature roles in Carmen by Alicia Alonso, Desde Lejos by Mauricio Wainrot ,Cruz y Ficcion and Bocca Tango by Anna Maria Stekelman, Entre Tangos y Milongas by Oscar Arais , Nine Sinatra Songs by Twyla Tharp. In 2009 Jonatan joined Victor Ullate Ballet Company in Madrid, Spain as a soloist. His repertory with the company include 2 you Maestro, Samsara, Coppelia, Jaleos, Seguirilla, Bolero, among others. In 2014 he joined Zurich Ballet under the direction of Christian Spuck as a Soloist where he danced Anna Karenina, Romeo and Juliet By Christian Spuck, Wings Of Wax by Jiri Kylian, Giselle by Patrice Bart, Frank Bridge Variations by Hans van Manen, A Life by Douglas Lee, among others. In 2015 he joined Slovak National Theater under the direction of Josef Dolinsky as a Soloist, performing lead roles in Beyond Sin By Boris Eifman (Dmitrj), Le Corsaire (Birbanto), Nutckraker (Cavalier- Spanish Dance), Giselle (Hilarion), Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty. Since September 2018 he has being a freelance dancer in New York City and his works include Sleeping Beauty Dreams Choregraphed by Edward Clug in which he share the stage with Diana Vishneva and Marcelo Gomez. Jonatan is joining Mordance for his first season.
